About the role
As an AI Engineer at Tiber Lake you will design, build and run AI agents that do real work for businesses across the UAE. Our agents answer customers, take orders, book appointments, open insurance claims and read documents, using tools connected to each client's point of sale, booking, CRM and payment systems, and they hand over to a person when they should.
You will own agents end to end: you shape the conversation with the client, build the integrations, write the evaluations, put the agent live and keep improving it from what real conversations show. The work spans chat on WhatsApp and the web and voice on the phone, in English and Arabic.
This is a remote role. You need to be based in the UAE, and you will meet clients in person from time to time.
What you will do
- Design and build chat and voice agents on large language models, with tool calling, retrieval and structured outputs
- Connect agents to client systems such as point of sale, bookings, CRM and payment providers through their APIs and webhooks
- Write evaluation sets from real conversations and track accuracy, response time and cost for every agent
- Review live conversations every week, find what went wrong and ship the fixes
- Keep agents safe: handle personal data with care, guard against prompt injection and make sure they hand over to a person when needed
- Document each agent so the client's team understands how it works
What you bring
- 2 to 5 years of experience building production software in TypeScript, JavaScript (Node.js) or Python
- At least 1 year of hands-on work with LLM APIs: prompting, tool calling, structured outputs and evaluation
- Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, SQL databases and Linux servers
- Able to own a piece of work from the first conversation to production
- Clear written English
- Based in the UAE
Nice to have
- Arabic
- Experience with the WhatsApp Business Platform, telephony, or speech to text and text to speech
- Experience with vector search and retrieval
- Experience working directly with clients
