About the role
As our Accountant you will own day-to-day accounting at Tiber Lake and give the founder clear numbers to decide with. You will issue invoices, record bills and expenses, reconcile the bank, run payroll with HR and close the books every month.
You will work in our in-house finance system, which covers invoices, bills, banking, payroll and reports, and with our external auditors and tax advisers on VAT and Corporate Tax.
This is a remote role for someone based in the UAE.
What you will do
- Issue invoices, record bills and expenses, and follow up on receivables and payables
- Reconcile bank accounts and keep the ledger accurate
- Prepare the monthly close, management reports and cash flow forecasts
- Run payroll with HR, including WPS
- Prepare VAT returns and support Corporate Tax compliance with our advisers
- Keep records organised and ready for audit
What you bring
- A degree in accounting or finance
- 4 to 6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in the UAE
- Solid knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and IFRS
- Accurate and organised, and at home with spreadsheets and accounting software
- Based in the UAE
Nice to have
- ACCA, CMA or CPA, completed or in progress
- Arabic
- Experience in a services or technology company
